Cookies are small text files that web servers can place on your computer when you visit their website. Most browsers enable cookies by default. If they’re disabled and you want to enable cookies then here is how you can enable cookies on different web browsers. 

How to Enable Cookies in Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome on your desktop or laptop.

  2. Click ⋮. It’s in the top-right corner of the window. A drop-down menu will appear.

  3. Click on Settings and it opens the setting page in a new tab.

  4. Scroll down to the Privacy and Security section.

  5. Click Site Settings.

  6. Click “Cookies and site data”.
  7. You’ll see a toggle next to Allow all cookies. Click it to enable.

How to Enable Cookies in Safari

  1. Open Safari on your Apple desktop or laptop.

  2. Click Safari Preferences.

  3. Click on the Privacy tab.

  4. In the “Cookies and website data” section, make sure that “Block all cookies” is unchecked.

  5. Close the Preferences window.

How to Enable Cookies in Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox on your desktop or laptop.

  2. Click . It’s in the top-right corner of the window. A drop-down menu will appear.

  3. Click on Preference and it opens up the preference page.

  4. Open the “Privacy & Security” tab. It’s on the left-hand side in the navigation section.

  5. Set “Content Blocking” to standard. 

How to Enable Cookies in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open the Edge browser on your desktop or laptop.

  2. Click ⋮. It’s in the top-right corner of the window. A drop-down menu will appear.

  3. Click Settings at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

  4. Click on the Site permissions tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

  5. Under Site permissions, click on Cookies and site data.

  6. Click on the toggle button next to Allow sites to save and read cookie data to enable cookies in Edge.
