A pyramid is a polyhedron with one base that is any polygon. The volume of a 3 -dimensional solid is the amount of space it occupies. Here is how to find the volume of a rectangular pyramid.

The volume V of a pyramid is one-third the area of the base times the height h

Steps

  1. Find the length and width of the base.
    For Example: l = 4cm, w = 3cm

  2. Multiply the length and width to find the area of the base.

  3. Multiply the area of the base by the height.
    For Example,

  4. Multiply your result so far by 1/3.
